Work Experience

Reading blueprints or CAD files

• Understand design drawings or digital plans to determine how to shape the wood parts.

Setting up CNC machines

• Install tools and fixtures (like drill bits or saw blades) and load wood materials onto the machine.
• Calibrate the machine for speed, depth, and tool paths.

Programming or running pre-written programs

• Input CNC programs into the machine, sometimes writing or modifying basic G-code or using CAM software.

Operating the machine

• Monitor the cutting/shaping process to ensure everything runs correctly and safely.
• Make minor adjustments as needed during production.

Quality control

• Inspect finished wood parts using calipers, rulers, or templates to ensure they meet specifications.

Maintenance and troubleshooting

• Clean and maintain machines.
