A Short List Of Reasons Why You Should Work For CTGI Selected as a Top Workplace 8 Times Competitive Pay Very Fast-Growing Practice What You Will Do For Us: Review and code Procedure Reports to ensure correct use of CPT and ICD 10 codes and modifiers Review and code Office Visit documentation to ensure correct use of CPT and ICD 10 codes and modifiers Enter charges using established workflows and timeframe for posting Enter recall dates following established protocol Maintain current knowledge of covered and non-covered CPT codes, ICD 10 codes and modifiers by using monthly payer bulletins and updates provided by Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager Attend monthly coding webinars provided by CTGI Generate Missing Charge Reports biweekly or as requested by Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager Communicate missing charges or corrections needed with providers Meet deadlines established for all required reports Identify and communicate ongoing issues and payer trends to Team Lead, Supervisor and Manager before issues have escalated Follow established policies, control processes, procedure and guidelines Check email frequently throughout the day to ensure all communications are received Other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred) Medical Billing: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person Qualifications Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED completion is required. Professional Coding Certification with American Academy of Professional Coders AAPC: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is required. Experience: Experience working with EMR and in medical coding preferred. Requirements for Level I Status: Entry level (1-4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision. Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision. Performance Requirements: Good working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Knowledge of current third party billing and collection regulations and requirements. Good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to gather and interpret clinical data. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and alpha numeric data entry.
