Corporate Refrigeration Coordinator

Corporate Refrigeration Coordinator - PSM Specialist

A trusted supplier of fresh and frozen meat blends serving both wet and dry pet food manufacturers across the U.S.

What You'll Do

As our Corporate Refrigeration Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring our refrigeration systems run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with all regulations. You'll collaborate with local teams, external partners, and leadership to optimize performance and drive energy savings across all our plants.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • System Oversight & Optimization

    • Monitor utility usage (electricity, water, gas) and recommend cost-saving strategies.
    • Maintain and update technical documentation and inventories for all ammonia installations.
    • Audit refrigeration systems annually and report findings to senior leadership.
  • PSM Program Leadership

    • Coordinate and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs across all facilities.
    • Lead monthly PSM meetings, track corrective actions, and ensure documentation is current.
    • Guide local teams on compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Team Development & Support

    • Train and mentor refrigeration personnel, fostering a safety-first culture.
    • Support maintenance teams with troubleshooting and technical guidance.
    • Ensure all technicians are properly licensed and equipped.
  • Project & Compliance Management

    • Review and support CAPEX refrigeration projects.
    • Stay informed on regulatory changes and ensure company-wide compliance.
    • Lead the PSM program for our Omaha facility and support others as needed.
What You Bring

We're looking for someone who's not only technically skilled but also a strong communicator and team player. Here's what will help you succeed:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and process improvement experience.
  • Background in production equipment, preferably in the meat or food processing industry.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • College or vocational degree preferred, with at least 5 years of experience in refrigeration and PSM (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
  • Comfortable working around raw meat materials and using appropriate PPE.

  • Preferred location: Omaha, NE, but we're open to candidates near one of our plant locations (NE, IA, MO, CA, IN, GA).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
