Dispensary Sales Associate – Dispensary (Midtown East, NYC)
Location: Midtown East
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (20–40 hours per week)
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour + tips & incentives

Job Summary:
As a Budtender, you will be the face of our dispensary, guiding customers through their journey, recommending products, and maintaining compliance with New York City laws. You will help create a positive, engaging, and educational shopping experience, all while meeting sales goals and receiving excellent customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Sales
• Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide personalized recommendations.
• Educate customers on product types, consumption methods, effects, and proper usage.
• Assist with product selection based on customer preferences and experience levels.
• Process transactions efficiently using the dispensary’s POS system (Dutchie) while ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Promote and upsell featured products, promotions, and accessories.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional atmosphere at all times.
Product Knowledge & Compliance
• Stay up to date on all products.
• Ensure all recommendations align with New York’s laws and responsible use guidelines.
• Verify proper customer identification and follow all safety, security, and compliance procedures related to product handling and sales.
Store Operations & Inventory
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing product displays and sales floor.
• Monitor inventory levels, remove expired or damaged products, and assist with
restocking.
• Assist with monthly promotions and product launches to enhance customer experience.
• Support daily opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and register
balancing.
• Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
• One or more years of retail, customer service, or hospitality experience (Dispensary or luxury retail experience is preferred).
• Passion for our product and a desire to educate customers about its benefits (verifiable
knowledge of products, product variants, and industry trends is a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and POS systems.
• Must be 21 or older and able to pass all background checks required by New York state
laws.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
