Job Title: FCAW Job Description We are seeking a skilled Flux Core Welder who can proficiently read and interpret shop blueprints and diagrams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to pass a 2G and 3G FCAW weld test and perform various welding tasks with precision and skill.
Responsibilities - Read and interpret shop blueprints and diagrams accurately.
- Pass 2G and 3G FCAW weld tests.
- Perform layout, position, align, fit, clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts for welding.
- Weld in both vertical and horizontal positions.
- Handle materials using hand, overhead crane, forklift, or other handling equipment.
- Operate various types of welding equipment including gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and submerged arc welding.
Essential Skills - Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Ability to pass 2G and 3G FCAW weld tests.
- Experience in welding in vertical and horizontal positions.
- Familiarity with stainless steel, Flux Core, FCAW, and fitting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and carrying materials.

Work Environment Training is conducted from 7am-3:30pm on the first shift. Once training is completed, candidates may move to the second shift (6am - 2:30pm), third shift (2pm - 10:30pm), or night shift (10pm - 6:30am) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. This is a union environment where seniority often determines shift. Expect to work at least 40 hours with some overtime opportunities. The dress code is standard for a welding environment. Pay is $30-35+/hr.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $63003.00 - $70000.00/yr.
This is a Union environment that offers a high starting pay rate, and Four different health plans through Highmark. Dental and vision offered as well. 401k plan up to 5% match.
Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Turtle Creek,PA.
