Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (Endocrinology) 

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our endocrinology team. The NP will work collaboratively with endocrinologists to provide high-quality, comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic syndromes. This role is primarily outpatient-based, with occasional inpatient consultations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough histories and physical examinations with a focus on endocrine-related conditions.
• Diagnose, manage, and monitor patients with diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, and gestational), thyroid dysfunction, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and other metabolic diseases.
• Initiate, adjust, and manage medications, including insulin and hormone therapies, in accordance with collaborative practice agreements.
• Order, interpret, and act on laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostics relevant to endocrine disorders.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and the use of diabetes technology (e.g., glucose monitoring, CGMs, insulin pumps).
• Collaborate with endocrinologists, primary care providers, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Monitor and respond to abnormal test results, patient inquiries, medication refill requests, and follow-up needs.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives related to endocrine care and population health.

Qualifications

Education:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Family, Adult, or Adult-Gerontology Primary or Acute Care (AANP/ANCC).

Licensure & Certification:

• Active, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner.
• DEA registration and state prescriptive authority.
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience in endocrinology or internal medicine preferred.
• Proficiency with diabetes management and technology (CGMs, insulin pumps) strongly desired.
