Job Description
NFI Massachusetts Inc., a non-profit human services agency, is currently seeking a full-time Licensed Occupational Therapist for our Intensive Residential Treatment Program located in Westborough, MA.
The IRTP's are short-term locked facilities serving male and female youth who are referred through the Department of Mental Health (DMH). Located in Westborough, MA, NFI’s two, fifteen bed IRTPs are state-wide residential programs for adolescents who have a serious mental illness and/or severe emotional and/or behavioral disturbances.
Youth are referred by the Department of Mental Health (DMH). The program is structured in a trauma-informed, family focused environment. The therapeutic milieu and educational day programming are designed to foster success after transition out of the program.
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for taking part in the evaluation and treatment planning of all clients to support functional skill level. They will design and lead groups, implement individual activities that enhance the recommendations of the treatment team, and help support the therapeutic and daily living needs of clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in the program milieu.
Attend all training(s) necessary.
Participate in the evaluation of all residents as to functional skill level.
Attend all meetings relevant to the program.
Lead groups.
Carry out individual treatment as indicated.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (including but not limited to psychiatry, nursing, clinical, residential, transitional, peer mentors and family partners) to support client’s occupational engagement and participation
Participate in other treatment modalities as indicated.
Responsible for the documentation of individual and group treatment.
Perform any other duties as directed by Occupational Therapy Director.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Licensed to practice occupational therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
Must possess excellent vision and hearing, and the ability to read and speak English.
Must hold valid driver's license.
Must be fully vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated against COVID 19, per state regulations
Salary: $68,000-$72,000 annually
