Ideal candidates will be strong clinicians with an interest in medical education and professional development. Candidates must be BC/BE in Palliative Medicine and Hospice and eligible for medical licensure in Ohio. Primary responsibilities include outpatient specialty palliative care in the oncology clinic, as a part of an interprofessional team including nursing, social work and physician colleagues. Opportunities for engagement with education are available. Cleveland Clinic's Department of Palliative and Supportive Care offers a competitive, robust fellowship program, training 6 physician yearly. Teaching opportunities extend to a variety of trainees, including oncology fellows, medicine and surgical residents, and allopathic and osteopathic medical students. A commitment to interprofessional collaboration and outstanding communication skills are essential. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University.
