Reporting to the Production Manager, the Supervisor plans, organizes, and coordinates the work assigned to the production team working from schedules, customer orders and verbal instructions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit for open positions, train production staff, performance management, supervise production team, motivate, discipline, and terminate employees.
Plan and direct the setup of the production team.
Analyze workloads and delivery requirements and distribution of work force.
Update schedules from each department to track jobs completed.
Check with appropriate department for shortages of materials.
Process all returned orders from customers including the completion of paperwork.
Follow progress of work, anticipate causes of delay or inadequate performance, and take or obtain corrective action.
Direct, assist, instruct employees as to schedules, methods, standards of performance, safety precautions, and regulations and other matters that may be affecting their work.
Maintain discipline and good personnel relations.
Approve daily attendance report.
Work with the Quality team to resolve problems and the Planning Department to schedule jobs.
Work with the department Manager in the execution of the strategic plan.
Perform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must posses:
Associates Degree, Bachelors Preferred or 7+ years production experience.
Five to seven years of production experience, with a minimum of 3-5years supervisory experience.
Strong MS Office experience and ERP experience a must.
Ability to read blueprints, use hand tools and measuring devices, and other light machinery a plus.
