Amtec Staffing has partnered with a well-established aerospace manufacturer in Thousand Oaks, CA to find a skilled and driven Sales Engineer to join their Business Development team .

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative company known for designing and manufacturing custom electromechanical motion control solutions for the aerospace and defense industry.

Responsibilities:

As the Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, supporting technical proposal efforts, and managing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle. Core responsibilities include:

• Business Development – Drive new business opportunities by identifying prospects, cultivating relationships, and expanding the company’s market presence in targeted aerospace sectors.
• Customer Engagement – Act as the primary technical liaison between customers and engineering teams, translating complex requirements into actionable solutions.
• Proposal Support – Assist in the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates, pricing strategies, and schedules.
• Market Intelligence – Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support strategic planning and product development.
• Cross-Functional Coordination – Work closely with engineering, program management, and manufacturing teams to ensure proposals are aligned with internal capabilities and customer expectations.

Skills/Experience:

• Education – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required.
• Experience – 3+ years of experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or business development role within the aerospace or defense sector.
• Technical Knowledge – Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, preferably in aerospace applications.
• Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with engineers, program managers, and procurement professionals.
• Tools & Software – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM systems and aerospace proposal processes is a plus.
• Travel – Must be able to travel occasionally to visit clients, attend trade shows, and support business development activities.
