installations supported by available utility company incentives through United Illuminating (UI)
and Eversource programs. As part of our rapid growth, we are seeking a dynamic EV Charger
Sales Manager to lead, develop, and support our sales team in this booming sector.
Position Summary: The EV Charger Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of
our EV charger sales division. This includes direct sales management, providing technical
support to the sales team, driving new customer acquisition, and ensuring projects align with
incentive program requirements. This role is designed for a motivated, experienced leader who
thrives in a high-growth, sustainability-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Sales Team Leadership:
○ Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of Energy Advisors and Sales
Representatives.
○ Set sales targets, monitor KPIs, and drive the team to meet or exceed
company goals.
○ Conduct regular team meetings and sales coaching sessions to maintain a
high-performance culture.
● Sales Management & Strategy:
○ Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand
Lionheart Energy’s customer base.
○ Support and refine the sales process, from initial customer engagement to
closing contracts and coordinating with operations.
○ Collaborate closely with Marketing to optimize lead generation and brand
presence in target markets.
● Technical Support & Expertise:\Serve as a technical resource to the sales team, providing guidance on
product selection (e.g., Level 2 chargers, make-ready infrastructure), site
conditions, and eligibility for utility incentive programs.
○ Stay current on evolving EV charging technologies, incentive programs (UI
and Eversource), and best installation practices.
○ Oversee application submissions for utility incentives and ensure all project
documentation is accurate and complete.
● Customer Relationship Management:
○ Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, property owners,
developers, and facility managers.
○ Provide pre-sale consultations, site evaluations, and post-sale support to
ensure customer satisfaction.
● Program Compliance:
○ Ensure all projects meet the eligibility criteria and technical requirements for
UI and Eversource EV incentive programs.
○ Maintain thorough records for reporting, application audits, and incentive
payment processing.
Qualifications:
● Minimum 3+ years of direct sales management experience, preferably in B2B
environments.
● Proven track record in a quota-carrying sales role with strong leadership
capabilities.
● Experience in green energy, EV charging, solar, energy efficiency, or related
industries is preferred.
● Technical acumen related to EV charging products, electrical systems, or energy
solutions is a strong advantage.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
● Proficient with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
● Highly motivated, self-driven, and passionate about sustainability and innovation.
Requirements:
● Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (travel within Connecticut
may be required).
● Must have a personal cell phone suitable for business communications.
● Professional appearance, strong business etiquette, and ability to represent Lionheart
Energy in client-facing environments.
● Ability to work full-time, on-site at 414 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT.
Compensation Package:
● Base Salary: $125,000 annually
● Commission: Uncapped commission based on sales team performance (with
monthly payouts)
● Bonus Opportunities: Performance-based incentives and leadership bonuses
available.
● Benefits: Eligible for future company benefit plans as Lionheart Energy continues to
grow.
