At Hitachi Energy, we’re looking for a Senior Energy Market Consultant to help lead the charge toward a more sustainable power system. In this role, you’ll dive deep into the evolving world of electricity markets, guiding clients through complex forecasting, modeling, and strategic planning. You’ll be a trusted advisor, a technical expert, and a key contributor to the energy transition. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and support high-impact consulting projects across North America
  • Execute production cost modeling and long-term price forecasting
  • Analyze trends in energy, capacity, REC, and ancillary services markets
  • Model renewable energy, storage, EVs, and distributed resources
  • Design and run complex electricity market scenarios
  • Present insights to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to software tool enhancements and roadmaps
  • Build strong client relationships and provide strategic guidance
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Postgraduate qualifications and technical certifications are a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience in energy market consulting
  • Expertise in long-term electricity price forecasting and modeling
  • Proficiency with EPM tools such as production cost modeling, IRP, and capacity expansion
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate data into strategy
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
