Pony Express HQ is mobile marketing automation specialized in messaging channels like SMS and Facebook Messenger. Small business owners use our platform to run SMS marketing campaigns as well as communicate on a 1-to-1 basis on instant messaging channels. Founded in 2017 and based in California, Pony Express HQ is a fast-growing startup building the next-generation smart marketing automation solution for messaging platforms. We value ownership highly - the ability to take an idea through all the stages from conception to shipping a product. This reflects throughout our company but is especially true in engineering. As an engineer at Pony Express HQ, you'll be a part of a highly independent and autonomous team. Since we're building out a robust data layer that needs to be presented elegantly to the end user, you'll be working with a large array of different technologies and fields. Expect lots of interesting challenges! Responsibilities Performing on-page, off-page, and technical SEO tasks and analyzing the process via Google Analytics and SEO tools like Google Search Console, Semrush, and Ahrefs Generating, optimizing, and analyzing Google Ads Improving and executing social media strategy through competitive analysis and audience research Generating, editing, and publishing content (original text, images, GIFs, or video) Brainstorming with our team to generate creative marketing concepts that get customers to try out our product Coordinating with team members distributed around the world in different time zones Qualifications Fluency in English Positive attitude, detail, and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability A strong desire to learn and execute in a startup environment. If you are a quick learner, a self-starter, able to work independently, and willingness (and ability) to handle other assignments as they come up, you will feel right at home! Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills Design background and proficiency in Adobe design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) Nice to have Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge of web design, web development, and SEO Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations Perks Great friendly team members!
