Summary: Rack Room Shoes is seeking a dynamic and results-driven SEO Specialist to join our digital marketing team. This role will be pivotal in enhancing our online visibility and driving organic traffic. This person will work with the SEO Manager to create and optimize website content and other forms of communication aimed at optimizing page score metrics, increasing engagement, improving brand recognition, and enhancing Rack Room Shoes SERP rankings. The ideal candidate should have some degree of familiarity with fashion/footwear brands and products, possess a strong understanding of SEO principles, be proficient in using relevant tools, and have a passion for staying up to date with the latest industry trends. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for organic growth. Proofreads and edits on-page content for optimization to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistent style, and adherence to SEO best practices. Perform on-page SEO audits and implement optimization strategies, including title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, and content optimization. Perform technical reviews of site content to identify issues and areas of opportunity. Monitor and report on SEO performance metrics, providing regular updates and recommendations to stakeholders. Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and innovations. Simultaneously, manage multiple projects with short deadlines. Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure business needs are met. Effectively balances speed, efficiency, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Professional Skills & Qualifications: The preferred candidate must have the following qualifications to perform this job successfully. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or another relevant field. 1-3 years experience in Content Marketing, SEO and/or relevant experience. Experience working with tools such as Googles Suite of products, SEMRush, Adobe Analytics, a plus, ScreamingFrog a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more). Basic familiarity of HTML/CSS and website administrations a plus. Experience working with a CMS (Content Management System) preferred, experience with ContentStack a plus. Strong understanding of ecommerce SEO best practices. Professional Competencies: Knowledge of fashion accessories with the ability to balance artistic, fashion, technical, marketing, merchandising and business needs appropriately. Excellent knowledge of the English language and a proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong grasp of analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills. Passion for SEO and Digital Marketing. Ability to think creatively and identify and resolve problems. Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task and work within deadlines. Google and Adobe Analytics review, contribution, and reporting a plus. Able to adapt to changing search algorithms, trends, technologies and business needs. Physical Demands: This position is primarily sedentary.
