We're Hiring: Estimator – Join Our Precast Concrete Team!

Are you an experienced Estimator with a passion for precision and a strong background in the precast concrete industry? We’re looking for a dedicated Estimator to help us deliver high-quality precast concrete solutions. You will play a key role in accurately estimating project costs, managing bid proposals, and ensuring our projects are priced right and executed smoothly.

About the Role:

As an Estimator in the precast concrete sector, your focus will be on providing accurate take-offs, pricing models, and managing the estimating process from start to finish. You’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver detailed and effective estimates for precast concrete projects, including structural elements, architectural panels, and other specialized concrete products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate Take-Offs & Pricing: Provide precise quantity take-offs for precast concrete products, including structural panels, insulated panels, concrete walls, and decorative elements, while considering labor, material, equipment, and transportation costs.
• Bid Proposals & Scope Reviews: Lead bid proposals, offer detailed cost breakdowns, and lead scope reviews with clients and subcontractors to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Client & Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, general contractors, precast concrete suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Project Support & Training: Assist with the onboarding and training of new estimators and interns, sharing knowledge on estimating techniques specific to precast concrete.
• Cost Control & Profit Margins: Work with sound judgment to determine full-cost estimates, incorporating profit margins aligned with company goals.
• Job Handoff & Change Orders: Facilitate smooth job handoff meetings from the estimating team to project management and assist with pricing change orders on existing contracts.
• Safety Focus: Integrate safety considerations into all estimating processes, ensuring industry best practices in the handling and installation of precast concrete products.
• Operations Support: Support the operations team by reviewing production rates and tracking quantities, using these insights for future estimating accuracy.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Proven experience estimating for precast concrete projects, including the use of products like precast concrete panels, tilt-up walls, hollow-core slabs, and other structural and architectural elements.
• Attention to Detail: Strong skills in accurately estimating material, labor, and equipment requirements for precast concrete structures.
• Communication Skills: Ability to lead and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams, particularly during scope and bid reviews.
• Team-Oriented: Collaborative approach with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to ensure project success.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and cost-analysis abilities to ensure projects are completed within budget and scope.
• Safety-Focused: A commitment to ensuring safety is incorporated into every phase of the estimating process.
